Guoyan Culture and Media Group (Development Research Think Tank of China, abbreviated as “DRTT”) is a state-owned public welfare and think tank-type enterprise, which is authorized by Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) and former State Administration for Industry & Commerce (SAIC), and initiated by China Development Press, DRC’s directly affiliated entity. It is also the operation institution of national registered trademark “DRTT” brand, with a registered capital of RMB 100 million.

Since the institution was founded, it has taken DRC’s strategy to “Build World-class High-level Think Tanks” as its own mission. Based on DRC’s advantages as China’s national high–level think tank, it conducts business in seven areas: publishing and operation of think tank books and periodicals; policy research and consulting for local governments and businesses; conference and exhibition with “Development Research Think Tank Forum of China” (DRTT Forum) as the principal part; high-level talents education and training for culture and creative industry; big data, cloud computing and other digital services featured by macro analysis; construction and operation of think tank parks; intelligent finance and wealth management. Therefore, the seven business structure in “media, think tank, conference and exhibition, data, education, park, and finance” has been preliminarily formed.
