DRTT Forum • 5th New Year Forum held in Beijing
(DRTT News) Under the guidance of Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), hosted by China Development Press and organized by Development Research Think Tank of China (Guoyan Culture and Media Group) and China Development Observation Press, “Development Research Think Tank (DRTT) Forum of China • 5th New Year Forum (2019)” was held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on January 20th, 2019. The theme was “Opening-up and Innovation, Promoting High-Quality Development of China's Economy: A New Outlook for China's Economic Situation in 2019”. Li Wei, President of the DRC attended the Forum and delivered a keynote speech.
Keynote speeches were also delivered by Long Guoqiang, Vice President of the DRC; Lu Baifu, former Vice President of the DRC; Fang Ning, Counsellor of the State Council and former Vice Chairman of the Counsellors’ Office of the State Council; Li Chenggang, Minister Assistant and Member of Leading Party Members’ Group of Ministry of Commerce; and Chen Wenling, Chief Economist of China Center for International Economic Exchanges. The Opening and Keynote Speech session was hosted by Yu Bin, Member of the Leading Party Members’ Group, Director General of the General Office, spokesperson and research fellow of the DRC. Bao Yueyang, President of China Development Press and Chairman of DRTT presided over the session of China’s Economic Situation Outlook and Policy Foresight and made a conclusion speech.

In the third session of “China Samples: Release and Interpretation of Classic Cases on the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening Up” , Lu Baifu delivered a keynote speech to expound the connotation and characteristics of “China Samples” in the 40 years of reform and opening up. He also narrated his own precious experience of taking part in drafting major decision documents on reform and development issues for the central government since 1980s.
These cases were selected by China Development Observation Press through in-depth surveys and researches conducted in the second half of year 2018, guided by Development Research Center of the State Council and funded by the Publication Bureau of Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee as one of the major publishing subjects. Related reports and articles have recently been compiled and published by China Development Press and China Development Observation Press as one of the “China Think Tank” series.
“China Samples: Classic Cases of the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening Up” released.
The fourth session of the forum was themed as “Rural Revitalization and Ecological Civilization”. Ma Xiaohe, former Deputy Dean of Academy of Macroeconomic Research of National Development and Reform Commission; Wang Yida, Inspector of Research Office of Ministry of Finance; Jia Jingdun, Director of China Rural Technology Development Center of Ministry of Science and Technology; Dong Yiwei, Deputy Director General of Printing and Distribution Bureau of Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee; Feng Kui, Secretary General of Academic Committee of China Center for Urban Development of National Development and Reform Commission; Li Renxia, Chairman of Beijing Qin Hai Indoor Environment Technology Co., Ltd. made speeches respectively and had deep discussions. Gao Shiji, Director of Research Institute of Resources and Environment Policies of the DRC presided over the session.

About 300 delegates attended the Forum, including leaders and experts from relevant national ministries and commissions, representatives of local governments, think tanks, key enterprises and media.
